Oscillators

SIPO is a pneumatically operated oscillator for demanding doctor applications on paper and board machines. Thanks to SIPO's pneumatic structure and the excellent reliability of Numatics components, SIPO is extremely reliable and maintenance-free even in demanding conditions.
SIPO provides information on the state of the doctor bearings by monitoring the force required by the oscillation. The information obtained can be linked to a condition monitoring system and this facilitates the scheduling of doctor maintenance. Correct timing of doctor maintenance brings considerable savings in maintenance costs.

When the force required by oscillation increases to a pre-set point, SIPO issues an alarm. After the alarm, the maintenance staff can set a new alarm point; this ensures oscillation continuing at full stroke length. The alarm points are set at intervals in order to follow the increase of oscillation force needed. Essential is, that oscillation action never stops.
